Energy Efficient Heating & Air Systems that Fit Your Home

There are no one-size-fits-all home heating and air conditioning systems, so we work with home builders during the design, building and finish-out phases of new home construction to make sure each home gets the best possible HVAC system given the local climate and lot conditions. We also consider the builder’s level of commitment to energy efficiency.

For new construction projects, we work with the general contractor and use industry-standard, technologically advanced procedures that ensure the homes on which we consult receive:

  • Correctly sized systems
  • Compliance with energy codes
  • Appropriate & Efficient Ductwork Designs
  • Future Homeowners that are comfortable & Happy

Load Calculations for Correct HVAC System Sizing

We perform industry standard calculations to make sure every decision is based on sound science. Many of your home’s features are part of our calculation, such as the number of windows, landscaping, and east-west orientation. We also work to make sure every part of the HVAC system fits unobtrusively into the home’s design. With almost 50 years of experience, we’re more than confident in our ability to provide a sound heating and air system that satisfies your needs.

Heating & Air Systems with Insulated Foam Duct Work

We provide Straight-Forward-Pricing with a free estimate, so you know the cost to budget upfront. A rough estimate can be given based on your house plans before the home is framed. Inevitably, things do change over the course of a building project from paper to actual slab in the ground, so once the house is "in the dry" meaning it has a roof, Mark will come do a walk through with the homeowner and contractor to discuss any changes that occurred over the course of the building process. This will allow us to give you a solid estimate for the exact cost of installation moving forward and plan the ductwork layout and equipment locations that best suit your design. Mark can also discuss energy efficiency options at this time and offer suggestions based on your specific goals.

All of our designer duct systems feature all metal hard duct pipe as opposed to flex duct, which is cheap and deteriorates over time. We are proud to be one of the first companies in Central Arkansas to offer an option for foam insulated ductwork as opposed to foil wrapping the ducts. When a home is cooled correctly and efficiently, your duct pipes should be ice cold. When the metal pipe is that cold in an unconditioned hot attic, there can be sweating causing moisture issues and wet insulation. While foil wrap is acceptable in most scenarios as a viable option, we have found that foam completely eliminates the most common issues found with foil insulated ducts. It provides a solid and impenetrable barrier for your conditioned air's quality, prevents condensation and sweating issues, and better maintains the temperature of the air as it passes from the unit through the pipes into your vent. This increases your systems efficiency and allows for an all around more comfortable home environment.

What's Next After Installing your HVAC Unit?

Once we've installed your system, it should provide you with years of worry-free cool comfort. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend commencing your annual service and maintenance appointments the year following its installation to keep your system working as efficiently as possible and to prolong its service life.
